Today, Peter Parker's the one behind the bar. Tony sits on the barstool opposite from him. Typically, they stand at about the same height, but when he's seated, Tony's just the tiniest bit shorter.

Peter looks down at the glass, and then down at him. "You think this is enough alcohol?" he asks, gesturing at the glass, filled with amber-colored rum. He'd asked Tony if he'd help him learn how to make drinks, but Peter was self-conscious about the entire affair, checking in for the Tony Stark seal of approval almost every step of the way.

He really wanted to make a good drink for Tony.

Thor blinks.

"You're serious?" Thor repeats, not quite grasping this.

"I mean..." What did he mean? His mouth got ahead of his brain. He blamed the vermouth from earlier for that one. But just saying it--it was like a high on its own. He pulled back just to gesture through each thought, beaming.

"Like...'til Pop Goes the Interdimensional Bubble do us part. That type of thing. You've had dreams? I've had dreams. That if space is really exponentially inflating away from our pocket and into eternity, I'd wanna spend it with--" Tony's breath ran out on that one. He gestured at the man up and down.

Thor has always been loud and unashamed. Bashful wasn't really in Thor's blood. But when Tony clarifies that he is 100% serious, Thor finds warmth gathering in his cheeks for the first time in probably 500 years.

Thor looks down at the obnlxiously pink carpet and slides a hand along the back of his neck.

He forces himself to look up.

"Only if Loki can be our flower girl."

Once he caught his breath, Tony didn't miss a beat. "He still owes me that favor from the lava-scapade."

"He still owes me a favor too."

Thor's grinning now. Even if morning comes and Tony doesn't remember any of this, for these few brief moments, he had been able to consider a future that didn't somehow revolve around Thanos.

And Thor is utterly grateful for it.

“Ah—wait. Wait.” Tony hid his hands behind his back, willing his armor to do something a little unique. What was a few nanites between partners—especially when they came from a place so close to his heart?

When he brought his hand back around, it was with a small, sleek box in hand.

For not the first time that night, Thor gives Tony a look that is utterly perplexed.

He points at the box in his hand. "How did you -- ?" It doesn't immediately occur to him that this is the product of nanite technology.

Thor shakes his head, content to let the mystery remain a mystery for the time being. Instead, he takes the little box in-hand and opens it.

Inside was a dark ring, in keeping with the color scheme of Thor's armor. It was marked with a cross section of serpents intertwine. Tony fancied it as not bad for a man who rarely manufactured purely for design.

Impulsive? Yes. Fanciful? Yes. The prospect of calling his longtime comrade fiancé? Far too priceless.

"If you don't like it, I can always, uh, adjust the design."

Thor looks down at it and he can't seem to stop himself from smiling.

"No," he says, shaking his head. "It's perfect."

Thor immediately slips the ring onto his finger. Was it left or right? He can't remember. He can always fix it later.

Thor looks over at Tony. "What about you? You need a ring, too."

Tony held up his left hand, presenting one that matched, now that he was certain the design had gone over well.

"Don't ask me how I know your size." Tony took Thor's hand in his. "Yeah...?"

"Some things are better left a mystery." Thor lifts Tony's hand and gives it a kiss on the knuckle.

"I just wish I had something to give you."

"You?" Tony blinked innocently. "Well, there is a condition."

"What kind of condition?"

"In here? For all intents and purposes, I am a single father." Tony gestured back down the hallway where his son was probably being so patient. "We're a package deal. Can you accept that?"

"What, you and the Spider-Boy?" Another perplexed expression, probably the sixth of the night. "Yeah. He's a sweet kid."

The furrow in his brow deepens.

"Does that make me his future step-father?"

"What I'm saying." It was a formality, but it needed to be said. "I wouldn't trust my kid with most. It's a sign of honor, here."

"I'll look out for him," Thor promises. "You have my word."

Regarding Peter, Tony glanced back towards the doors sitting at the end of the hall once again. He was surprised the boy hadn't come chasing after him expecting the worst by this point--if Thor hadn't showed up, Tony likely would have been passed out hugging the toilet.

"So. I had a date with the kid, and I think it'd be appropriate if I went back to break the news."

"Should I..." Thor twirls a finger over in the direction of the double doors.

Go with? is the unspoken question.

It took him a moment, but Tony caught his drift. “Oh yeah, yeah.” He placed a hand back on Thor’s, lowering it. “But let me do the talking.”
